Hello ❋
Digital looking typefaces always have that odd, non-convenient and bulky look that I’m not a big fan of, but Fol 10 have this condensed aspect that keeps the characters’ original shapes and completes its futuristic look. The font, created to celebrate the studio’s 10th anniversary, has 4 different styles, giving a very different look to it.
Effect.app is one of those websites that allows you to edit images online. It has very complete and original presets to play with.
Like many other museums, The Met offers a digital catalogue of its collection, so you can discover thousands of high-quality artworks and historical pieces. Earlier this month, they released 3D renderings that give an even better understanding of the objects. It would be very cool to be able to download the scans to animate them.
I was a big Minecraft player as a teenager, but now it gives me motion sickness as soon as I launch the game. Luckily, a friend of mine introduced me to Hytale. The game was created by the team behind Hypixel, one of the biggest Minecraft servers, as they wanted to create their own sandbox game. I’ve been fully into it for the past 2 weeks, rediscovering the joys of searching for resources and modelling buildings. I find the game prettier and with more depth than Minecraft in terms of creative possibilities, even though it’s still in early access.
I discovered Magazinelettering on Instagram, an account that “samples” typography from printed media. You can browse through various styles and thematised artworks. A very good inspiration source.
